The Get it On Project
The I.T suite has recently been refurbished with 8 new p.c's, 2 Apple Mac's, 2 lap tops, webcam and head sets. The new equipment has been funded by the Western Valleys Strategic Regeneration Area and Communities First. The project is called 'Get it On', a Welsh Government initiative that aims to develop Centres of Excellence across the South Wales region in ord
er for entrepreneurship, social enterprise and local businesses to up-skill and embed technology into their businesses.
Learning and skills development for employment will be a key factor in the project as will the development of a social enterprise/small business to support not just the centres but local business and the community in which they operate.
This will be achieved through creating, updating and re-inventing existing centres along with new centres in the WVSR
A region in line with community ICT Strategies. This project is aimed at helping you, young or old, to learn through the media of ICT.
